An exhibit of ceramics
and drawings by
Anne-Marie McIntyre

February 7 – March 2

Opening reception:
Friday, February 7th from 6–8pm

Inspired by South Asian textiles, Palampore is an expanding piece comprised of ceramics, drawings and textiles. The natural world is depicted using hard and soft, liquid and powder, and hot and cool techniques. The pieces are displayed in dialogue with each other.

Anne-Marie McIntyre’s ceramics and drawings are part of an ongoing experiment in bringing a drawn line into the physical world. The unusual techniques found in her ceramics have been developed over years of studio practice. These include an extensive repertoire of hand mixed glazes, drawing with clay slip and wax resist and combining elements in multiple firings. Her ceramics are done in conjunction with her drawings and both are based in material exploration.
