November 2 – December 1
Saturday, November 2nd from 6–9pm
In a series of large-scale ink drawings on paper, Lado Pochkhua explores architectural imagery that reflects both the rise and fall of empire. Born in Sukhumi, Georgia, Pochkhua has lived in Georgia, Russia and Hungary, where he experienced first-hand the collapse of the Soviet Union. His drawings reflect both the spectacle of empire and the crumbling of its monolithic forms.
